Creating an ecological consciousness through scientific research and outreach activities
With more than two hundred interns, students and volunteers since we started in 2015, DMAD aims to raise both scientific and public awareness of critical habitats and the problems they are facing and implement the actions in order to conserve the marine biodiversity in Levantine, Aegean and Adriatic Seas.
Our goal
Our target is to implement effective conservation strategies, support citizen science, raise ecological awareness and use research and knowledge in order to generate those management skills for healthy populations and ecosystems. We train tens of interns and volunteers each year who participate in real world data collection and develop skills that they can take away to other projects to spread conservation further and wider.

We work across 5 different projects in 3 different countries and have trained more than a two hundred volunteers and interns to date to help build conservation capacities.
